Slow Talks: On moving across the world
Episode #3: Sophie & I sit down again to talk about how our transcontinental moves have influenced our slow living practice
Once again, I’m honoured to meet and have exchanges with interesting people from all over the globe.
of This is Sophie Today and I sat down for the first time to talk about our approaches to slow living back in July and right away we knew that we would love to keep the conversation going - specifically on our major moves across the world!Sophie moved with her husband from Belgium to New Zealand, and now enjoys a life off-grid in a tiny house. She wrote a short and humorous post about the move (here).
In the winter of 2017, I moved from California to Germany, a story of foolhardiness and faith, to be sure
Together we discuss these big decisions, the life changes, and share some funny stories about getting acclimated to our new culture, and ultimately how it played into both of us adopting a slower lifestyle.
I hope you enjoy it and would love to know: Have you experienced living in a foreign culture?
