I love this so much ! I walk to and from work every day and I love it , I'd really like to make it more of a habit not just a commute ! I love the idea of making a plan and packing a snack (you always have me at snack 😋 )... Thank you for the inspiration!
Good advice and so interesting to read how your thinking has shifted. Have you read ‘Do/Walk’ by Libby DeLana? Also lovely writing on the power of walking.
Hi thank you! I recently started walking with my daughter who just turned 18. She will be off to college soon and I am using the opportunity to connect with her in new ways before she goes off to a life of her own. It has really helped us bond. Exercising has always been so hard for me to keep up with. After coming home from work drained the thought of doing something too physical was a put off but having a partner for me really does the trick. Thanks again!
Thank you for this lovely post. I've always enjoyed walking. Audiobooks have become my constant company in the past three years. This year I've added knitting to my walks and have started carrying a small project with me.
I love audiobooks and what a great idea to bring along a knitting project! In summer, I like to pack some watercolor supplies and paint while in the forest.
Really solid advice. :) Needs to be heard by more people!
Awww, thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to give feedback!

What a kind note - thank you! And yes, snacks are vital 😉

Thank you for your feedback Julie. I have not read that book but I just looked it up and it sounds wonderful!
I love it. Though her daily walk is around 8 miles, I think, which is asking a lot!
That is a good long walk!
Thank you for book recommendation...I love my daily walks as well and to know others also know this magical way of processing life is wonderful
Such great advice and really enjoyed reading! Here in Scotland, I've also relearned the art of enjoying a good walk !
Thank you for the feedback 😊 Scotland has so many gorgeous places for a hike or a stroll. I would love to visit there again someday soon.
